I do....(with a catch)

So a friend of mine goes to a wedding this past weekend. The girl getting married came from a well to do family, but her future husband's money was limited. With his limitations, he bought her a rather small engagement ring, which I'm guessing she wasn't pleased with because....

She went out and bought herself a bigger ring, and the day of the wedding, she gave the groomsman the new ring to have presented to her at the altar. Well the hubby to be didn't know, so when the groomsman passed him the ring he's like "That's not my ring. Where's my ring? What's going on?" The girl told him that's the ring they were gonna use right now and to calm down and she'll talk to him later.

WTF? She was waaaaaay outta line with this one! From what my friend said, the hubby didn't know what was going on and thought maybe her ring had been lost and went along with it. Personally, I don't know, had he known what was taking place, I think she might've got left at the alter...

That's so horrible and stupid though...Why not just be happy that of all the women in the world, this man chose you? Go and upgrade your ring? And behind his back? I'm sorry...I see divorce in their future for sure...

Hmmm...that's mad shady. Its disrespectful and its like she's saying, what you wanted doesn't matter and what you gave me wasn't good enough. Makes you wonder what her reasons for getting married are. I wonder what his reaction was when he found out what was going on. Whew some people are crazy...

not good.. If my woman went out and bought ANYTHING to replace what I bought with my hard earned(fought) dollars, I'd be pissed off to the highest levels of pisstivity!! Mostly because my feelings were hurt and secondly because it was done without my knowledge, approval or understanding.

I once bought a female some jewelery that she never wore.. hurt bad when I realized it wasn't blingy enuff.

Now if the toaster oven didn't have the features she wanted.. tell me then go pick up a better one. Hell I'm out of my league on stuff like that LOL!!

I agree w/Mae...that is VERY disrespectful. No matter what, the ring he gave her was from HIS heart. The size shouldn't matter. I swear, some women have their priorities all f*cked up!
